Hi, I’m Dr. Lori Trudell — a college professor, first-generation college graduate, and founder of Trudell Academy. Growing up in a poor, rural community and being the first in my family to navigate college, I understand the importance of college and career readiness. This experience shaped my mission: to help others build the confidence and communication skills they need to thrive — whether they’re students preparing for adulthood, educators shaping the next generation of leaders, or professional workers figuring out how to be successful in their careers. As a Professor of Management and Entrepreneurship at Clemson University, I teach courses on leadership, innovation, and startups, emphasizing the integration of AI in education to prepare students for the future. My passion lies in taking what I teach in the classroom and turning it into actionable, real-world programs that empower growth — both personally and professionally. Through Trudell Academy, I’ve developed workshops, events, and professional development for educators that bridge the gap between knowledge and confidence — helping people lead with purpose, communicate effectively, and embrace innovation in their everyday lives while focusing on professional skills development.

These programs are crafted to prepare students for life beyond the classroom. Through interactive workshops and real-world simulations, including events like Real World Ready, students build the tools, confidence, and communication skills necessary to take their next steps with purpose. "I want every student to have access to the kind of practical, personal guidance I wish I’d had when I was their age," says Dr. Trudell.
